Pediatric rehabilitation includes physical, occupational, and speech therapy and utilization of assistive devices and/or medications to reduce elevated tone and facilitate postural alignment. Paediatric rehabilitation supports children and teens to overcome the challenges that everyday activities present following a major injury, illness or medical procedure. It also supports children with conditions that limit their physical activities.
We care for babies, toddlers, children and teens, and we value their unique needs and differences. We see patients with cerebral palsy, nerve, muscle or respiratory conditions, limb difference and amputation, spinal cord dysfunction, brain injuries and pain issues. We also see children post surgery and post plaster. We aim to maximize each patient’s ability to participate in activities at home, school and the community, prevent or minimize complications and improve quality of life.
